Fleetmatics to create 24 new jobs at Dublin headquarters

Dublin-headquartered fleet management technology company Fleetmatics is to create 24 more jobs in the areas of R&D, product management, marketing and finance.

Fleetmatics now employs 72 people at its facility in Tallaght, Co Dublin, with plans to employ a further two high-end software developers and three database developers in the short-term. Separately, in London, the company has increased its employee headcount by 20.

The past year has seen a number of significant developments for Fleetmatics following expansion in Europe and North America. As well as the opening of its new global headquarters in Dublin, the company listed on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2012.

In August, the company reported 40pc revenue growth to €42.5m.

“We are very pleased with our performance for 2013 so far,” said Peter Mitchell, CTO, Fleetmatics.

“The company has reached many milestones and as a result has been able to increase employee numbers across various departments at our Dublin base.

“In the short-term, Fleetmatics plans to recruit several high-end software developers. This reinforces our commitment to Dublin as our global centre of innovation.”
