Inbound selling and marketing specialist HubSpot is to create 320 new jobs at its European headquarters at One Dockland Central, which it has dubbed DubSpot. This will bring employment at the company’s Irish operations to close to 500 people.

Christian Kinnear, HubSpot’s new managing director for EMEA, told that the new jobs will be spread across all functions, including sales, engineering and marketing.

“We have full engineering elements that we are growing here in Dublin who will be focused on building and shipping core HubSpot products.

“Our new offices at One Docklands Central are state-of-the-art and are designed to foster collaboration.

“We opened Dublin as our first international office three years ago and it started with the lofty ambition of creating 150 roles and this announcement shows we are going above and beyond this,” Kinnear said.

The expansion is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

HubSpot’s new office space occupies the third and fourth floors at One Dockland Central and features some unique and exciting perks, including a fitness room, a library and other quiet rooms, an on-site pub and rooftop terrace.

Kinnear said the new offices are attracting a great deal of internal envy within HubSpot worldwide.

All 270-plus desks in the space are electronic and can convert from sitting to standing at the push of a button. The office is equipped with varying conference rooms, collaboration spaces and nomad desks so that employees can choose the space they work best in. Dublin employees will now have a dedicated IT helpdesk and an ever-popular IT vending machine.

“Targeting high-growth technology companies has been a central part of our jobs plan, and I am delighted that a leading company like HubSpot has shown such confidence in Ireland,” Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said.

HubSpot is a global inbound marketing and sales platform that is used by more than 18,000 businesses in 90 countries.

“In its few years in Dublin, HubSpot has created fantastic opportunities across all business functions and we’re excited about the opportunity that they will continue to bring to the city as they grow,” IDA chief executive Martin Shanahan said.
