Intercall to create 15 jobs due to Vodafone partnership

20 Feb 2012

Cork-based outsourcing firm Intercall will expand its workforce by 15 as it experienced a “significant turnover increase” after it secured a partnership with Vodafone.

The firm sells Vodafone’s portfolio of mobile and fixed products to new and existing business customers. Vodafone recently awarded Intercall with a Gold Partner certification based on its sales performance and customer service capability.

Intercall was established in 1995 in Douglas, Cork City, and employs more than 110 people.

“Intercall experienced a difficult trading year in 2010 but we have seen substantial growth in our business in 2011, much of which has been driven by our partnership with Vodafone,” said Niall Kelleher, managing director of Intercall.

“We revised our strategy and changed our focus from selling consumer products to business products.

“As a result, we have seen a 25pc increase in sales year on year and an increase in turnover of €500,000 per annum, enabling us to grow our workforce by 15. We have further plans to expand the company-wide workforce over the coming months,” he said.
