LANDesk Software locating financial services centre in Dublin

LANDesk Software will create an international financial services centre in Dublin, which will result in 15 jobs.

The centre will manage order to cash processing, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger processing, legal, audit and taxation compliance. It will manage international finance function across EMEA, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The roles on offer will require candidates to have a degree or masters in a business or a professional accounting qualification.

“LANDesk’s investment in Dublin with the creation of 15 new high-value jobs is excellent news for Ireland’s cluster of international ICT companies,” said Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland.

“This strong cluster uses Ireland as a base to support the growth of international business and LANDesk today becomes a welcome addition to this cluster. I would like to every success as it grows its operation here and offer the continued support of IDA Ireland as this financial services centre develops,” he said.

LANDesk Software deals with systems lifecycle management, endpoint security and IT service management.

“This move to establish an international financial services centre in Dublin is an important part of our growth strategy,” said Mark Mc Bride, CFO at LANDesk Software.

“This new centre will become the primary financial operations hub in LANDesk’s international structure and will be responsible for up to 50pc of worldwide revenue.

“The decision to locate in Dublin was based on a combination of a talented, multi-lingual workforce, a strong ICT and financial services cluster and the ability of Ireland to meet the needs of companies, such as LANDesk seeking a hub for international operations.

“I would like to recognise the IDA and the Irish Government for their role in bringing this investment to fruition,” he said.
