Microsoft has had a base in Ireland for almost 30 years, with workers in the country filling up its European development centre, EMEA operations centre, EMEA data centre and a sales and marketing subsidiary. The well-known tech brand produces software and hardware products used by millions of users around the world across its Windows, Xbox, Office and Surface ranges.
Barnes works with the Office team in Ireland and he’s seeking developers, testers, programme managers and international product engineers, from graduates through to professional-level.
Microsoft has invested heavily in its graduate programme, recruiting from around the world. What the company offers these graduates – and even those with experience in the industry – is the opportunity to write code that will be used by millions. According to Barnes, new employees joining Microsoft development teams will see their contributions implemented to users worldwide within a few months of starting.
