In our employer insights series, Mick Canning, manager of the command centre at Twitter Dublin, gives us an insight into what it’s like to work at the largest Twitter office outside the US.

Twitter is now a household name, infiltrating daily lives far beyond the core tech scene. The microblogging network has more than 250m users worldwide sending about 500m tweets per day. As far as Canning is concerned, it’s “one of the most exciting global brands that there is”.

Twitter Dublin currently houses 150 staff and plans to be home to 200 employees by year-end. Its Irish base covers 15 different business functions, including HR, sales, finance, marketing and engineering.

Canning is currently seeking Linux systems engineers to join his team at the command centre, where they will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of a real-time platform at a large scale.

The Look Inside video series offers an insight into our Featured Employers and the types of roles and candidates that companies are looking for.
