Malone Engineering to create 30 new jobs at Dublin base

Thirty new jobs are to be announced by Malone Engineering at its Ballycoolin, Dublin 15 base today, with Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, TD, set to visit the company to make a formal announcement this morning.

The new roles will increase the number of staff from 15 to 45 at Malone Engineering. According to the company, the 30 new positions will be particularly suitable for graduates in engineering and health and safety.

Malone Engineering is based at Blanchardstown Corporate Park in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, where it operates from a 6,000 sq-foot headquarters. The company was set up in 1999 when it was founded by mechanical engineer Stephen Malone to provide professional project services.

Today, Malone Engineering carries out engineering design, project management, safety management and turnkey project solutions for the pharmaceutical, food and drink, industrial, educational, healthcare and banking sectors among others in Ireland, Canada, the UK and the US.

The company’s safety department was set up in 2004 and it works closely with the engineering function as well as offering safety services.

“This announcement of the creation of 30 new jobs is tangible evidence of the success of Malone Engineering over the recent past, in a very difficult trading environment,” said Malone today.

“We have grown Malone Engineering steadily over the last 14 years, and in the last two years we have invested in the right people, in the right kinds of qualifications and accreditations and the right kind of infrastructure that enables us to be highly flexible and innovative while being pragmatic and understanding of our customer’s needs. We will continue to invest, because we believe in the future and we are ready for the economy to improve and for the next phase of growth,” he added.
