Manufacturer CDEnviro is to create 30 jobs following a stg£2.7m expansion that has resulted in a new manufacturing facility in Cookstown, Co Tyrone.
CDEnviro manufactures equipment for the sewage and waste-water treatment industries.
With support from Invest NI, the company recently trebled its manufacturing capacity with the construction of the new facility.
The facility will also enable the company to expand into markets in Western Europe and Latin America.
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster spoke at the official opening of the new facility yesterday.
“CDEnviro has experienced considerable growth in the past two years and its expansion in Cookstown is very welcome news for the local community and wider economy,” Foster said.
“The 30 new positions the company is creating as a result of this expansion will support this ambitious export-focused firm’s continued commitment to innovation and product development and boost its ability to compete for new contracts in the UK and beyond.”
Brendan McGurgan, managing director of CDEnviro, said the company’s continued export success is the driver for the expansion which will see a range of new employment opportunities being created across a number of departments.
“Investments in marketing, research and training activities are also important components of our development strategy and will help us to build our reputation among key customers and explore opportunities for growth,” McGurgan said.
