McAfee to increase workforce at Co Cork headquarters

18 May 2011

Security technology company McAfee is to create 30 new jobs in Cork, at the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters in Mahon.

McAfee has had significant operations in Cork since 2004, with its previous Irish headquarters located at EastGate, Little Island. It opened the EMEA headquarters in May 2010.

The new jobs in the research area are part of a €6 million investment that will bring the total number of McAfee employees in Ireland to 330.

The employment boost comes a day after Cork East lost 142 jobs as Stryker cut back on its operations in Carrigtwohill.
