Having seen revenues grow 100pc in the past two years and with 60pc growth forecast for 2013, IT company Opensky is preparing to meet the demands of new business by adding 30 new positions over the next 18 months.
Headquartered in Naas, Co Kildare, Opensky’s services involve big data management, business intelligence, CRM, IT consultancy and managed services, and budgeting and planning solutions for large businesses in the food, manufacturing, retail and public sectors.
Today’s announced jobs growth will almost double the current number of employees at the company, bringing the total to 80.
Software developers, project managers, support, sales and marketing, and quality assurance personnel are all being sought, and recruitment is expected to begin immediately.
Last year, Opensky added more than 20 new staff members and the company now plans to accelerate its expansion into Irish and international markets.
“Opensky is a highly successful company that has achieved phenomenal growth since our establishment in 2004. In addition to our HQ in Kildare, we now have two offices located in mainland Europe,” said Michael Cronin, MD of Opensky.
“Our growth over the last 12 months has increased significantly and with this we need to build a strong team and develop our resources. We have several major projects in the pipeline, as well as plans to expand further overseas,” he added.
This job creation is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland. The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, TD, welcomed today’s announcement, saying, “Opensky is an exciting Irish technology company which is innovating, exporting and creating jobs, and today’s announcement is very welcome.
