Fired up for fibre: Pure Telecom to create 32 new jobs

23 Jan 2017

Broadband player Pure Telecom is to create 32 new jobs on the foot of a €1.8m investment.

The latest €1.8m investment is targeted at expanding Pure Telecom’s customer base to 100,000 by year-end 2019.

The company is targeting growth on the appetite for fibre among Irish consumers, which ought to have accelerated by 2019, if the wholesale aspect of the National Broadband Plan does its work.

To facilitate the expansion, Pure Telecom will create 32 extra jobs in areas including sales, employee training, customer service and technical support by the end of 2017.

At the end of the hiring process, which has already started, the Pure Telecom team will reach 112 people at the close of 2017.

“Contributing to the growth of our customer base will be the National Broadband Plan – both on the residential and business side,” said Pure Telecom director and co-founder, Paul Connell.

“We work with multiple telecoms wholesale providers, giving us access to more premises in Ireland than anyone else.

“As more homes and businesses across Ireland become connected to fibre, there will be huge customer demand for high-speed broadband services. When that time comes, we will be ready to support the increased demand with no negative impact to our existing customers.”
