Realex Payments announces 20 jobs at Web Awards 2015

16 Oct 2015

Sponsors of the Web Awards 2015, Realex Payments, announced on stage that it is to create 20 jobs in the e-payments company.

Among the celebration and downright silliness of the Web Awards 2015, a representative from Realex Payments took the time to announce the new jobs, albeit with little details at the time of writing.

However, the company did confirm that the 20 jobs will be for developers within Realex Payments at the event, which saw Siliconrepublic.com pick up the gong for Best Science and Technology Site.

Only last September, the company announced it was to create 50 new jobs in its Dublin office and will use these new roles to expand its operations in both the UK and Ireland.

Founded in 2000, the payments company has managed to attract some major clients in the world of e-commerce, having last June signed a three-year deal with the insurance provider Aviva in the UK.

The company has certainly been growing in size since its acquisition last March by the firm Global Payments in a deal that cost the US-based company €115m and has facilitated its international expansion.

Update:

Realex Payments has provided some more details on the 20 jobs announced. As part of its efforts to ramp up its product management and product development functions, it will be looking to fill positions in the roles of QAs at all levels, system architects, scrum masters and product owners for its Dublin office.

This will lead to the creation of a number of new development teams to work on its products.
