Social résumé: How job seekers and employers are connecting online (infographic)

29 Jan 2013

Both job seekers and employers are taking advantage of social media when it comes to finding a new job or hiring a new employee, and one of the most important sources in this arena is the social résumé (CV). A new infographic shows job seekers just how to make the most of their social CVs.

A social CV is basically a traditional CV in a digital format that should give the job seeker an online presence as someone employers would be happy to hire.

Using information from surveys, websites and news articles, the infographic published on OnlineColleges contains plenty of information on building and promoting a social CV, such as what a social CV should do, where job seekers can build their social CV, how to create a social presence recruiters will like, creative social CV techniques, and how to tell if a social CV is working.

The infographic also looks at how social CVs are growing in popularity, social networking sites that could help job seekers, and how recruiters think social CVs are worth the effort.
