IT consulting company Version 1 is to create 100 new technology jobs after acquiring the business and assets of PM Group’s IT services company, PM Centrix.
The move, which consolidates Version 1’s position in the market, grows the customer base to 220 and pushes total staff numbers to 200.
Version 1 expects to create 100 jobs over the next three years across its three offices in Dublin, Belfast and Cork and puts projected revenues in the region of €30m in this timeframe.
“We have performed very strongly in 2010,” said Justin Keatinge, managing director of Version 1.
“Projected turnover is €17.5m and operating profit has risen by close to 50pc. We have a strong deals pipeline and over 20 open positions, as well as a number of graduate opportunities. We have grown steadily since our inception in 1996 and believe that Version 1 is entering a period of renewed growth and expansion.
“PM Centrix and Version 1 share a customer-focused, value-driven approach to business,” says Keatinge. “We expect this deal to benefit all our customers by strengthening our expertise in Microsoft technology, particularly SharePoint, and enhancing our ability to deliver our services to the Munster region through our new Cork office.”
The deal merges the capability and expertise of two Microsoft Gold Certified Partners and gives Version 1 the largest Microsoft Practice in the country.
Already the No 1 Oracle partner, the deal positions Version 1 as the No 1 Microsoft partner. PM Centrix will in future trade under the name Version 1.
“PM Centrix has always been focused on providing a comprehensive service to our customers,” said PM Centrix managing director Donal Olden.
“By merging with Version 1, our customers will have access to end-to-end IT services covering everything from expert consulting services to managed support services.
“We are very excited to be joining an Irish organisation with such ambitious growth plans,” Olden added.
