15 new Belfast jobs as Chemtest doubles workforce

19 Oct 2015

Belfast-based Chemtest is doubling its workforce to 30 as it seeks analysts and administrators for its growing operations in both the UK and the Ireland.

Only a new company, Chemtest provides specialist microbiological and asbestos testing services and recently refurbished 4,000sq ft of additional space at its offices to build a dedicated laboratory.

Now Chemtest is expanding geographically to add to its client base outside of Northern Ireland.

“Our ambition is to double sales in our second year of trading by targeting prospective customers among water treatment companies, asbestos surveyors and healthcare and mechanical contractors”, explained laboratory manager Ashleigh Greeves.

The microbiology and asbestos divisions have seen continued success, with Invest NI’s support enabling the company to “accelerate” recruitment plans.

“Our extended facilities give us the capabilities to increase our revenue streams exponentially,” said Greeves.
