Pramerica has announced the creation of 330 jobs at its Letterkenny facility as part of an expansion that will include the development of a new, state-of-the-art, eco-friendly campus nearby.

The jobs are expected to come online over the next three years, and will include senior IT managers, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, actuaries, accountants and a wide range of technology support and professional services roles.

Minister Richard Bruton, TD, spoke at the announcement. “Today’s announcement that Pramerica, a huge employer in Letterkenny and a world-leading company in its field, is creating over 300 jobs, with the capacity to double that over the coming years, is a massive boost for Donegal and the entire north-west.”

These jobs will be accommodated at Pramerica’s new facility, which is tentatively expected to be up and running by mid-2016.

Speaking at the launch, Caroline Faulkner, senior managing director and CIO, said: “With Ireland’s rich pipeline of talent and its favourable work environment, now is the ideal time for us to make an investment in a new campus facility.”

Pramerica currently employs more than 1,200 people in Letterkenny. The new facility will bring them all under one roof for the first time, with additional space for the new jobs announced today.

Construction on the facility will begin this year and will be completed by summer 2017. It will incorporate green technologies for electricity generation and rainwater harvesting to reduce its overall impact on the environment.

Pramerica is a business and technology operations provider. The company was established in Letterkenny in 2000.

Pramerica provides a complete range of development, QA and systems engineering services to parent company Prudential Financial Inc, and provides business solutions to Prudential’s business groups across the US.
