Belfast company Flint Studios Ltd, a web, software development, digital and creative communications agency, is to create 10 jobs on the back of an stg£80,000 investment from Invest NI.

“Our strategy over the next three years is to increase our sales in Great Britain and also to expand sales internationally, starting with Japan, where we will be working in partnership with another company," said Jeremy Biggerstaff, managing director of Flint Studios.

"We're also keen to develop new products that will give us additional revenue streams. All this requires more staff than we currently have. Invest NI's financial support is allowing us to quickly recruit the number and level of staff that we need to realise these plans."

Flint Studios Ltd currently employs 12 people and works primarily in the education, retail, property, aviation, insurance, hospitality and financial services sectors.

George McKinney, Invest NI's director of Technology & Services, said Flint Studios has identified new export market opportunities for its web-based products and, with the agency's support, is moving quickly to take advantage of these opportunities.

"These 10 new high value jobs will contribute stg£375,000 a year to the economy and will almost double the company's workforce," McKinney added.

"This will ensure that Flint Studios can build on the innovative ideas and excellent customer service that have enabled it to secure an impressive client list in the UK. The company will now be applying the same expertise and customer focus to win clients around the world."
