BMS recruiting 400 for new biologics plant at Dublin facility

1 Dec 2015

BMS is expanding. The global biopharma company, which focuses on helping patients prevail over serious illness, is growing operations, constructing a new manufacturing plant at the Cruiserath facility, Dublin. This will be the first time in the firm’s history that biologics manufacturing will be taking place outside of the US.

In line with this expansion, BMS will be hiring for 400 new roles between now and 2018. Lisa Cahill, HR manager at BMS Cruiserath Biologics, sat down with Siliconrepublic.com to speak about those roles, and about what the biotech firm looks for from candidates.

The company will be seeking highly-skilled bioprocess engineers and biologists, explained Cahill.

Almost as important as qualifications, however, are behaviours. BMS looks for candidates who are intellectually curious, collaborative and easily adaptable, and who show energy and enthusiasm. An interest in learning, developing and growing within the firm is an advantage.

When asked why someone should want to work with BMS, Cahill responded: “[BMS Cruiserath Biologics offers] a great culture, groundbreaking pipeline, and an organisation that values career development, as well as a fast-paced, ever-changing start-up environment”.
