A major global expansion by travel software firm Datalex will see 200 jobs created, half of which will be located in the company’s refurbished Dublin offices.

Irish company Datalex has several bases around the world, with the likes of their Beijing, Atlanta and Manchester hubs seeing an upsurge in business.

Having recently renovated offices in its Dublin home, the company has now announced a major global recruitment drive that will see 200 new positions created over the next 18 months.

It’s East Point Business Park office will get 100 of those jobs, on the back of growing business with airlines such as Aer Lingus, Air China and JetBlue.

Calling this an “exciting time” for his company, CEO Aidan Brogan said “significant global demand” has meant Datalex has had to expand.

Looking for “the very best talent”, Brogan said his company will be hiring highly-skilled senior software developers, architects, analysts, project managers and many other roles.

The recently appointed Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, said the development is “very welcome”.

“Datalex is a tremendous Irish success story,” she said, adding she was looking forward to “continued engagement” with the company to help it grow further.

“Congratulations are due to Datalex on their great success to date,” said Enterprise Ireland’s Julie Sinnamon.

“Enterprise Ireland has worked closely with Datalex to support its continued growth in international markets. Datalex is a role model for ambitious, highly-innovative Irish companies to follow.”
