8 Apr 2015

International Financial Data Services (IFDS) in Dublin has announced 75 jobs, including roles in fintech and change management, as the company celebrates its 20th year in Europe.

Already employing more than 550 people in Ireland, IFDS has been a heavy recruiter in recent years.

Its Irish operation employed just 125 people in 2007, while its overall European staffing levels have increased from 1,600 to 5,000 in the last decade.

A provider of outsourced fintech services to different financial markets throughout the world, IFDS is expanding on the back of growth in areas like insurance, pensions and asset management.

“Ireland is internationally recognised and respected as a financial and technological hub and is a key market for many of our clients,” said Steve Parkinson, CEO of retirement and insurance solutions at IFDS.

“Our Dublin operations are at the heart of some of the most exciting transformational change programmes in Europe and we believe the Irish workforce is a hotbed of talent to help us innovate and continue to drive the growth of our business and the local economy.”

Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said: “Financial services continues to be a high growth sector in Ireland, with companies opening new offices and expanding existing operations on a daily basis.

“As more and more of our financial transactions become automated – IDA Ireland is targeting the financial technology sector as an area with employment potential.”
