Graduate opportunities rife in tech, says Hays Recruitment

10 Nov 2015

According to Anne-Marie Walsh, managing consultant at Hays Recruitment, opportunities are now rife for graduates seeking to enter the tech sector.

Walsh, who sat down with Siliconrepublic.com to talk about graduate roles, said employers are really starting to see the benefits of tapping into the graduate market.

Graduates are more highly skilled than ever before and are willing to do a wide variety of jobs in order to build up experience.

This makes grads attractive as mouldable hires – an ability and a willingness to try different things, and to morph to fit company culture, can be very appealing to employers.

It’s a great time for graduates. Hays Recruitment are starting to see graduate hiring patterns returning to pre-recession levels, and the booming tech industry in Ireland ensures there are always new opportunities available.

Direct tech graduate roles are not the only ones getting a boost, however, with related areas seeing corresponding growth.

Multilingual candidates are highly sought-after across the board for tech-adjacent roles, with German and Dutch speakers, in particular, in demand.
