Grants Electrical brings 10 new roles to Northern Ireland

More than stg£300,000 is being invested in Grants Electrical Services, based in Ballymena and Mallusk, both in Co Antrim, bringing total employment at the company to 90 with 10 new jobs.

Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) has given almost stg£50,000 to the project, with the energy provider also undergoing extensive marketing to develop new markets.

The 10 new staff, supported through this project and who are already in place, include five trainee apprentices.

“The GES Group has enjoyed significant growth and development in 2013-2014, having been awarded numerous large-scale tenders and projects,” said David Moore, managing director of the company. 

“We are now targeting new markets with the aim of becoming an industry leader and gaining increased market share in Northern Ireland, in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

“To do this we intend to develop new products and services and target sales in the renewable sector. We have developed a comprehensive marketing plan, and are increasing staff numbers to ensure we have the skills to deliver.”

Grants Electrical Services provides power and energy solutions for small businesses and large multinationals across a range of industries, including tyre manufacturers, wind farms, food and drinks manufacturers, engineering specialists, and ship and aerospace manufacturing.
