Happy Canada Day as Absorb brings 12 jobs to Dublin

1 Jul 2015

Absorb Technology Ltd, a European subsidiary of Blatant Media Corporation, is creating a dozen new jobs as it sets up a European operations hub in Dublin.

Citing Ireland’s strong tech infrastructure as a reason behind it choosing Dublin as a base, co-founder of the company Mike Owens said: “We’re very excited to take the next big step with Absorb.

“Opening an office in Ireland was an easy decision. We needed a European presence and the business and technology community in Dublin was the perfect fit for us.”

The key functions of the Dublin-based Absorb Technology will be sales and support of the growing European market in addition to extending support access for all Absorb LMS clients globally.

The company was introduced to ConnectIreland through Irish businessman Gerry McInerney.

“I am always trying to put the message out there about Ireland as a place to do business. I’m delighted that Absorb Technology has chosen Ireland for their expansion,” added Gerry.

Michael McLoughlin, CEO of ConnectIreland, commented: “The fact that Absorb Technology chose Ireland over a number of other countries they were looking at is a testament to the great reputation that Ireland has abroad. Their team will be a dynamic addition to Dublin’s tech hub. We look forward to helping the company grow and expand in Ireland.”
