Galway jobs boost as tech businesses merge, creating 100 new roles

25 Jan 2016

A merger between two technology companies in Galway has seen a new entity, Intuity, announce plans for a 100-strong expansion to its workforce.

Previously Ice Cube and Tec Support, newly-created Intuity wants to fill 100 positions over the next three years, with “strategic acquisitions” and international growth the reason for such a significant jobs push.

Intuity works with cloud-based tech solutions, with CEO Gerard Cox noting the year-long transition into its current guise.

“The past year has been an exciting time for us,” he said. “We are looking forward to a busy 2016, with a number of strategic acquisitions already identified, key international partners in place and the addition of a third office here in Ireland planned for the coming months.”

Ice Cube had been providing software solutions, IT consultancy and support to the likes of credit unions for several decades. Tec Support, meanwhile, is an IT support and maintenance business.
