Kedington to open office in Derry, 10 jobs to fill over next year

4 Jun 2014

Following a year and a half of growth, Irish IT networking solutions and cabling company Kedington will open a new office in Northern Ireland, creating 10 high-skill jobs there.

Headquartered in Dublin, Kedington also has offices in Cork and Limerick. Its newest office – and its first in the UK – will be established in Derry, serving the six counties of Northern Ireland from this base.

The Derry office will trade as KI Network Solutions Ltd and be led by Laurence Black as general manager, who joins the team as an industry veteran with knowledge and experience of the IT infrastructure industry and the local market.

Over the next 12 months, the new business will create 10 new high-skill jobs in sales, network engineering, and solutions architecture and design.

“Our entry into the Northern Ireland market is in response to growing demand from our international and local client base to service their IT requirements throughout the island of Ireland,” said Colm Lyons, director, Kedington.

Kedington has seen growth in all areas over the past 18 months, including active and passive network solutions, wireless and data centre fit-out projects, and its online components supplies business Kedington Direct.
