Liberty IT announces 35 new jobs

Liberty Information Technology Ltd (Liberty IT) will be creating 35 new jobs over the next six months, giving the company more than 320 employees.

This new figure marks a 25pc growth rate in new employees hired at the software development company since early 2010. 

The Department of Education and Learning has awarded the company support under the Assured Skills program towards assistance with the training costs for the new recruits.

“Liberty IT’s software development contributions have helped Liberty Mutual become a leading global property and casualty insurer, and we’re delighted to make today’s announcement of continued job creation in Belfast,” said Edmund F Kelly, Liberty Mutual Group chairman and CEO.

“The quality and dedication of the region’s workforce is superb, which has helped Liberty IT sustain strong employment growth as it supports Liberty Mutual’s strategic technology initiatives.”

Liberty IT delivers Liberty Mutual Group, with an array of value-added services that includes business analysis, information management and infrastructure engineering, automated system verification, load testing and automated performance.

Liberty IT was positioned among the top 50 UK companies by the ‘Great Places to Work Institute’ in 2010.

William Hamilton, managing director of Liberty IT, thanked the Department of Education and Learning for its support.
