In our employer insights series, Harry Goddard, technology partner at Deloitte, gives us an insight into what it’s like to work at the Irish arm of one of the world’s biggest professional services firms.

The technology group within Deloitte focuses on helping clients use technology to achieve goals such as increased market share, profitability or efficiency, or respond to changes in their sector.

While Deloitte’s consultants devote themselves to improving clients’ businesses, the company itself is committed to improving its employees and ensuring they can reach their full potential.

To this end, Deloitte invests heavily in career development and training, not just in terms of technology but also in developing leadership and industry skills. The idea here being that individual successes will lead to group success for the company as a whole.

Right now, Deloitte is recruiting .NET and Java developers and UX and graphic designers, as well as people with Oracle and SAP skills, and, of course, good technology consulting skills.
