Md7 to hire 40 in bid to expand European HQ in Dublin

27 Nov 2017

Site development firm Md7 will add 40 new hires to its European hub at St Mary’s Abbey in north Dublin.

Md7, a full-service cell site development and real-estate services company for the telecoms industry, will create 40 new positions at its European headquarters in Dublin 7.

The company, which is based in San Diego, California, offers site development services for wireless operators, tower companies and OEMs, and has regional and field offices throughout the US.

It is best known for utilising its proprietary workflow software, LiveTrack, to streamline the site deployment process.

The announcement was made by An Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Frances Fitzgerald, TD, who said: “Md7’s decision to double the size of its international HQ in Dublin by creating an additional 40 jobs is very good news and a reflection of our attractiveness for high-technology companies.

“All these jobs require third-level qualifications, and the development builds on the Government’s policy of developing new niche areas in the telecommunications sector.

“Md7’s renowned expertise in mobile phone systems and technologies is a valuable addition to our dynamic ICT environment and I look forward to the company’s continued success in Ireland.”

Md7 is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland. Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, welcomed the news, saying: “The international HQ in Dublin plays a pivotal role in driving Md7’s European growth.

“The company continues to find the talent and skills necessary in Ireland, with plans to greatly expand its team in response to the increase in demand for its services.”

Md7 international president and CTO, Mark Christenson, was also positive about the development, saying: “Md7’s decision to continue to invest in Ireland reflects our positive experience to date, the ease of doing business in Ireland and easy access to a talented multilingual workforce.

“The roles we are creating here include a range of skillsets, all of which will require third-level qualifications.

“We have expanded in order to support the operations of our growing business and to serve our customers in Ireland, the UK and Europe.”
