New job search website lets users track application status

Jobbuddy.ie from the Synergy Centre at Institute of Technology, Tallaght, Dublin, is a new job search website that claims to allow users to track the status of their applications in real-time.

The concept of Jobbuddy.ie has been in development for the past year and the site uses a SmartTracker system to display the status of a job, be it on hold, shortlisted or unsuccessful.

Free to join for both employers and job seekers, the site allows users to create profiles, too. For job seekers, this means adding details that are then used to match them with positions available on the site, while for employers it means another way to attract candidates and manage vacancies, reducing the time spent processing applications and offering easy communication with applicants.

SmartRecruit technology, developed by the Jobbuddy.ie team, provides a platform where employers can search for suitable candidates using multiple criteria. This also comes with an advanced screening module, interview scheduler and messaging system.

Job seekers can search by employer, county, job, category, salary, etc, and their profile dashboard lets them review applications and set alerts.

Job listings also come with icons indicating if they are for internships, work placements, graduate or executive positions, overseas recruitment or seasonal work.

The site’s creators say more features and updates are ongoing as the site finds its feet in the online job search market.
