Renewable energy investment company Solar 21 is to create 25 jobs over the next 18 months across Ireland.

“We are essentially looking for men and women with business acumen and experience to become part of our Irish-based expansion,” Newstalk reported Michael Bradley of Solar 21 as having said.

Solar 21, which invests in photovoltaic solar farms across Europe, has a head office in Rathcoole, Dublin. The company also has offices in Italy and Germany.

Last August, Solar 21 announced it plan to purchase six photovoltaic solar farms in southern Italy from the global provider of power electronic systems AEG Power Solutions in a deal worth €25m.

And just this March, the renewable energy fund completed a deal to buy a 22-acre 3.5MW solar park in Lazio, Italy, for €13m.

Solar 21 already employs 21 people in Ireland.
