Legal firm mops up search problem

10 Apr 2008

Matheson Ormsby Prentice Solicitors (MOPS) has deployed a new integrated search technology across its business to allow practising solicitors to simultaneously search internal and online legal content.

The company has deployed Solcara SolSearch, which enables targeted searching and reduces the time to find information and improve productivity across the organisation.

It is understood that the SolSearch technology is used by four out of the top five legal firms in Ireland.

Solcara’s software is designed to address critical information management and retrieval needs, irrespective of the industry or sector.

Spearheading the firm’s deployment of the search technology, MOPS director of legal resources, John Furlong, said the technology improves the efficiency of searching in two ways: by allowing one composite search across different databases and by directing users to relevant databases.
