Americans will be voting for their new president on Tuesday, and a new infographic looks at how voters are consuming and sharing information on their mobile phones that pertains to the campaigns of the candidates, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

The infographic published by StartApp on Visual.ly is packed with information, such as 88pc of registered voters own a mobile phone of some kind, the top things people do on their mobile phones regarding the election, and which candidate is more active on social media (Obama).

Facts and figures are also sprinkled throughout the infographic, with some of the notable ones stating that 70pc of the most active Android states vote Republican, and 70pc of the most active iPhone states vote Democrat.
