We love a good infographic here at Siliconrepublic.com, as you may have noticed, but there is a good reason for this as it is proven that we, as people, take in much information visually.

Data visualisation is the presentation of data in a pictorial or graphical format, often with the aim of allowing people to understand complicated data more easily and quickly.

It is something that has become beloved of news organisations (like ourselves) thanks to it generally lending itself to being easily shared on the web via social media.

Of course, like everything, there are right and wrong ways to present information in a graphical or pictorial manner and this nifty infographic from The Guardian Digital Agency, carried by TechInfographics, provides tips on how to produce a great infographic…
