Animation set to take over from video, says Igloo founder

Following on from the success Gimmetheshortversion.com, its founder Trevor Courtney has started another venture, Gimmesomegraphics.com, under the umbrella of Igloo Animation.

Launched in March 2010, Gimmetheshortversion.com creates short animations for businesses, non-profit organisations and public bodies in order to make more complex topics easy to digest and to present information both clearly and simply.

To date it has created animations for many high profile clients, both here in Ireland and abroad, including Bord Na Mona, ESB, the Health and Safety Authority and the Environmental Protection Agency in Ireland. Overseas clients include The National Trust Scotland and The Natural Step in Canada.

Gimmetheshortversion.com also recently created short animations explaining mental health Care topics which include OCD, eating disorders and phobias. These can be viewed here.

The new website Gimmesomegraphics.com allows companies to pick and chose characters and animation which they would like to use in their own in-house marketing activity. Courtney has created a number of new animated characters to tie in with its launch.

“We have created a lot of new characters which we hope will prove to be just as popular as the ones created for Gimmetheshortversion.com,” said Courtney.

“Gimmetheshortversion.com has had an amazing year and I hope this success is set to continue well into the future. It is certainly looking good with animation set to take over from video by the end of 2011.”
