Britney Spears has joined US President Barack Obama, reality TV star Kim Kardashian and fellow pop stars Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber to draw 10m followers on Twitter.
“OOOMMMGGG I just realized that I hit 10 MILLION FOLLOWERS! Words can’t even begin to express the love I feel for all of u!!!” Spears tweeted.
“I gotta do something special for u guys! Let me think of something fab to show my appreciation!!!! (sic)”
Spears then vowed to give a random selection of “loyal twitter followers” sets of products she has endorsed, among them trainers, fragrance, jewelry and gift certificates.
As of this morning, Spears’ Twitter account showed she has 10,156,254 followers and that she is following 419,513 people.
Spears brings her ‘Femme Fatale World Tour’ to the O2 in Dublin on 24 October.
