Visitors to Carzone.ie conducted more than 4m searches for used cars this past June, with German cars being sought the most on the Irish website.
Regarding individual brands, visitors to Carzone.ie generated 480,000 searches for BMW, 434,000 searches for Volkswagen, and 385,000 for Audi.
In terms of model, users of the site sought the Volkswagen Golf the most, with nearly 200,000 searches. This was followed by the BMW 5 series, then the BMW 3 series, the Ford Focus, and the Audi A4.
Warren Cray, general manager at Carzone.ie, which is part of AutoTrader UK, said the findings reveal a “strong degree of optimism” in the Irish car market.
“Consumers are starting to feel confident again and are seeking value for money and quality when looking to purchase a car,” he said.
