The timeline marks key moments in the championship’s history, dating from 1885 right through to present day, and fans can can upload and share their all-time favourite stories alongside these events.

GAA director general Páraic Duffy and a number of GAA ambassadors – including Mickey Harte, Colm ‘The Gooch’ Cooper, Brian Mullins and Jack O’Shea – were invited to GAA headquarters in Croke Park to share some of their favourite anecdotes around moments featured in the timeline.

“The stories and memories which GAA supporters are all too happy to share demonstrate the passion that people have for our games across the country,” said Duffy. “The timeline is a really innovative way of providing a permanent and evolving home for these stories for GAA supporters during the course of this year’s Football Championship and beyond.”
