Financial Times’ paying digital subscribers up 71pc

The Financial Times reported today that its paying digital subscriber numbers increased by 71pc over the last year to reach 206,892.

Combined paid print and digital circulation figures, meanwhile, are at 595,015. These figures are Deloitte assured for 2 October 2010 to 4 January 2011, said the publisher, and represent a 3pc quarterly increase.

It said the FT has a combined print and online average daily readership of 1.9m people worldwide (ADGA, PwC assured, May 2010) and the newspaper has a daily circulation of 390,121 as reported in today’s ABC figures for December 2010.
