Free conference on mobile technology and marketing coming to The Helix, DCU

Set to take place on 4 December, the third annual Get Mobile conference invites marketers, SMEs and app developers to The Helix, Dublin, to learn about and discuss mobile technology and marketing.

Organised by Dublin City University (DCU) Business School’s outreach project, Techspectations, Get Mobile 2012 is a free conference featuring presentations, panel discussions and an app expo showcasing some of the 225 mobile apps designed by first-year and post-graduate students at DCU through a collaboration with Microsoft and Jampot, as well as apps developed by local companies

Topics explored on the day will include mobile app development, mobile payments solutions and mobile medical technologies, while there will also be a panel discussion on Windows Phone.

Speakers and panellists include Louise Phelan, vice-president of PayPal; Stephen Jio, global tablet and gaming digital product marketing manager for Dell; Joe Drumgoole, vice-president of product management at FeedHenry; Patrick Ward, Windows business group lead at Microsoft; and Paddy Power’s mobile manager Sylvie McDermott.

The one-day conference runs from 1pm to 6pm on 4 December. Registration is free and open to the public, but places are limited.
