Gig check-ins on Foursquare now earn Deezer subscriptions

Foursquare has more than 30m users checking themselves into eateries, retailers, tourist attractions and venues worldwide. From today, these users can now reap rewards for their location-based data from music-streaming platform Deezer.

Deezer has teamed up with Foursquare to offer exclusive perks and rewards for live music fans.

From today, Foursquare users who clock up more than seven check-ins at any of mroe than 15,000 music venues in 15 countries will win a three-month Deezer Premium+ subscription, offering unlimited access via web or mobile to more than 25m songs.

Users have to first like the Deezer page on Foursquare to avail of these perks. In doing so, they can earn the Deezer Foursquare badge pictured here.

Deezer currently has 10m monthly active users in 182 territories and 4m paying subscribers. The more expensive Premium+ plan normally costs €9.99 per month and allows users to listen to ad-free music offline and on mobile devices.
