Google Reader app available for Android devices

2 Dec 2010

An official Google Reader app is now available for Android devices, allowing users to view news feeds on the go.

The app supports multiple accounts, as well as synced preferences.

Users can access full subscription services on the mobile app, along with the ability to search through feeds.

The Google Reader app also includes a few mobile-only features to help navigations.

It enables users to navigate by using their phone’s volume keys for pressing the “next” and “previous” buttons.

Long-pressing on a folder or subscription brings up a contextual menu to allow users to rename, unsubscribe or change folders.

Hitting the menu key on an item lets users utilise the send feature, which allows them to send an item to a third-party app on their phone.

The Google Reader app is available now on the Android Market.
