Hailo offers JDIFF visitors a lift home with thousands of vouchers

12 Feb 2013

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, or JDIFF for short, hits Ireland’s capital city this week and with it comes €100,000-worth of Hailo vouchers issued in partnership with the festival to provide cinephiles with a cheap lift home.

More than 100 screenings of films and shorts, special events and master classes in film will take place during JDIFF, and Hailo has distributed 20,000 vouchers to the festival venues: Cineworld on Parnell Street, Savoy on O’Connell Street, Screen Cinema on Townsend Street, the Irish Film Institute in Temple Bar, and Light House Cinema in Smithfield.

Each voucher is worth €5 towards a Hailo taxi journey and is valid for the duration of the festival. To avail of the discount, users must download the Hailo app from either the App Store or Google Play, register with a credit or debit card and then enter the promo code. Only one voucher can be used per registered user.

JDIFF runs for 11 days from 14 to 24 February and, who knows, with screen stars Tim Roth, Gabriel Byrne, Frank Langella and Danny DeVito all set to attend the event, Hailo taxi drivers may even find themselves picking up a celeb or two.
