1800hotels has announced a new deal with UK travel company Youtravel which will increase the number of hotels on offer at 1800hotels.ie to over 55,000.
1800hotels was founded by Dubliner Graham Peakin in 2002. Since the company was set up with a €5,000 investment, it has grown from having a turnover of €750,000 in its first trading year to €7.5m in 2006. This year the company is expecting a turnover of €17m.
1800hotels specialises in offering quality discounted hotel accommodation around the world. Since 2002 the number of global hotels on offer on the site has grown tenfold. The deal with Youtravel will bring an even more extensive range of hotels and apartments on board.
Youtravel is a Barclays venture-backed company offering quality hotels and apartments predominantly in popular summer and winter holiday resorts around the Mediterranean.
