Six games titles using Havok’s award-winning technology including Physics, Cloth, Behaviour and Animation, have taken 26 nominations across 15 categories in the celebrated independent Game Critic Awards.

The Game Critic Awards comprises 29 different US media outlets including Wired, PC Gamer and Yahoo! Games, and celebrates the best of entertainment expo E3, which included Left 4 Dead 2 and DJ Hero.

The Best of Show critics poll gave top honours for 2009 to another Havok-powered game, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

“To have so many Havok-powered games nominated by the most esteemed media outlets speaks volumes for our technical leadership, customer service and clear differentiation in the market,” said David O’Meara (pictured), managing director of Havok.

“Designers, producers, engineers and artists worldwide continue to choose Havok’s industry-dominating software and tools, and as the Game Critics’ list shows, Havok helps studios develop triple-A, award-winning titles.”
