Irish new media firms to grow exports by €125m

Irish companies operating in the new media, telecoms, internet and entertainment sector are set to increase exports by €125m this year, according to Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Conor Lenihan TD.

“Sixty Irish companies have clinched significant export contracts with global operators like Nickelodeon, CBBC, Telefonica, Disney and Vodafone.”

Lenihan was speaking at an Enterprise Ireland industry event in London.

“The global entertainment and media market is expected to grow to €1.2trn by the end of this year,” added Lenihan.
