UK funny man Jimmy Carr will be master of ceremonies at the 2010 Eircom Spider Awards on 18 November 2010 in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin, nominations for which are open until 17 September.
Best known for hosting the satirical TV quiz show 8 out of 10 Cats, Carr is famous for his deadpan delivery and dark humour.
The 2010 Eircom Spider Awards, entering their 15th year, are technology and digital media awards, which honour Irish individuals, businesses and community organisations for their outstanding achievements online throughout 2010.
In total, there are 20 categories this year, including three new categories — the Digital Editor Award, the Best Mobile App Award and The Big Mouth Award.
Like previous years, the 2010 Eircom Spider Awards will also recognise achievements in a range of different categories including: financial services, tourism, charity, retail, news, education, entertainment and sports.
