Meteor has extended its prepay promotion to allow new and existing customers to text for free or make calls for 5c for life.
Existing customers will benefit automatically from the offer, which hitherto had included free texts and 5c calls until 2008.
New customers can keep their number if they swap over to Meteor, the company said. In addition to the extended promotion, it announced that new customers will receive €20 free call credit.
Commenting on the deal, director of marketing at Meteor Michael Hayes said: “This latest offering for Pre Pay customers is simple and straightforward and we have moved to make it an even better product with our customers needs in mind.”
Meteor has over 700,000 customers and 16pc market share. It has 30 stores nationwide and more than 400 retail outlets, such as Dunnes Stores, Xtravision, and Carphone Warehouse, stock Meteor products.
