The Netflix app on Xbox LIVE is introducing new user interface elements to help fans discover trailers, cast and crew information directly on their games consoles. The new elements come just in time for the Netflix original series House of Cards, which stars Kevin Spacey.

Microsoft said that to allow users a greater opportunity to check out the first 13 episodes of the new series it is unlocking Xbox LIVE Gold for Netflix from today until Sunday (3 February).

Oscar-winner Spacey stars in the new series as a ruthless congressman.

The drama penetrates the shadowy world of greed, sex and corruption in modern-day Washington, DC.
