New Facebook app makes record collections social

11 Feb 2010

A Dublin company has created a new app for Facebook called ‘faceTunes’, that allows users to post their favourite tracks, cover art, rating and lyrics from their computer or iPhone to the social-media site.

Developed by Redwind Software based out of Finglas,  ‘faceTunes’ allows users to listen to and post their favourite tracks in one effortless process.

Simply by opening ‘faceTunes‘, a message is pre-composed based on the song the user is listening to. Then send, or edit, the post and the details of your current track will be forwarded to all your friends.

‘faceTunes’ features pre-composed posts, the ability to edit the post and lyrics, graphics, fluid navigation, the ability to upload album artwork as part of the post or post to a photo album.

If users don’t have the lyrics to their favourite song on their iPhone, ‘faceTunes’ comes bundled with a powerful search feature that will attempt to find any lyrics to any song online.

‘faceTunes’ couples a simple idea with your favourite hobby. So now you can share your favourite songs with your friends, family and followers, thanks to ‘faceTunes’.

“Look out for more Redwind apps headed to iPhone OS soon. If you enjoy music, we know you’ll just love Music Challenge. It’s a real hit,” said Ted Winders of Redwind Software.

Redwind is the company behind popular iPhone apps like Movie Challenge: Oscars Special, Bible Challenge and TwitPod.
