Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn has revealed in an interview that he has been recording music on his Apple iPad.

Albarn, whose group currently has a deal with Apple rival Microsoft, revealed in an interview with NME that he was working on a followup to the virtual band’s record ‘Plastic Beach’ while it continued its world tour.

Albarn told the music magazine: “I hope I’ll be making the first record on an iPad … I fell in love with my iPad as soon as I got it, so I’ve made a completely different kind of record.”

Albarn, who is also Blur’s frontman, admitted there was an abundance of leftover material from the band’s previous record. He said he hopes the record will be released before the end of the year.
